Weegee, Lovers at the Palace Theater (3-D Glasses)
The Indianapolis Museum of Art has acquired a trunkload (210 to be exact) of photographs by legendary New York City tabloid photographer Weegee. The trunk also contained other documents including personal letters and his Social Security card. Originally purchased at a farmhouse yard sale in Kentucky by a woman who was unaware of its value, the trunk was donated to the museum by Steven H. Nowlin, a historic documents dealer.
