The Daily Drop Cap is a nice little idea: a combination of gallery and resource, created by typographer and illustrator Jessica Hische. Every day she creates a new illustrated drop cap and generates code for publishers to use it (under an Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works license, which is a smart way to get her work and name out there). Her work veers towards pop, so some of her forms seem a bit kitsch to me. But frankly, I don't think the quality of every single piece is the right thing to observe—it's the quality of the overall collection. Daily publishing is really taxing; that she's able to pull this off every day is laudable.

We make words is a similar exercise, but with illustrated words rendered photographically. This is a gallery by two artists, and the works are not free for re-use, so ask if you want to do that.

Men: Dress like adults! Put This On is a series of video pieces researching the origins of men's style. Currently, they're exploring some basics of English street style, the use and care of denim, and various sources for some excellent suits. (via SwipeLife)

Justin Hilden does a wonderfully thorough look at the color design of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. (via CartoonBrew)

Tiffany Wardle de Sousa has contributed an interesting post to Typohile's discussion boards:

The association 'Friends of the Palatina Library and the Bodoni Museum' have created the initiative 'Adopt a Bodoni alphabet‚' whose aim is to restore the full set of more than 600 alphabets, their punches and matrices.
The rest of the message goes into more detail, but frankly, that's enough for me.
